What’s with all these dead movie projects resurrecting themselves? No self respecting anime fan wants to see a live action Akira movie. Doesn’t matter though, because Book of Eli directors Allen and Albert Hughes are gonna direct it anyway. The plan, now, is to do two films, the first based on the first three issues of the manga, and the second based on everything else. They are promising that the first film will be out next year, and their budget is next to nil. Conclusion: this movie is going to suck. [Vulture]
