For a recently announced project, Kathryn Bigelow’s Escape From the Taliban has been catching quite a few eyes. Specifically, Terrence Malick is now interested in the project. Early reports made many think that Malick would be competition for Bigelow’s director’s chair. However, it turns out that Malick actually only wants to come onto the project as a producer. Neither Bigelow or Malick are officially attached, however the deal will most likely be decided by the end of the weekend. If both Bigelow and Malick were working on the project together, we could be in for something extraordinary. [THR]
