Brad Pitt has taken on assassins, Trojans, and Nazis during his career as an actor, but now he’s going to be facing a new enemy: zombies. According to writer Max Brooks, Pitt is officially starring in the film adaptation of World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War. Plan B Entertainment (Pitt’s production company) got the rights to make the movie a few years ago, with Marc Foster (Quantum of Solace) signed on to direct, but Pitt himself had not been attached until now. And if those aren’t enough zombies for you, Paramount has obtained the rights to make movies of The Zombie Survival Guide and The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks, both of which were written by Brooks. At present, the zombie apocalypse is slated to begin in the summer of 2012, so you will have plenty of time to develop a survival strategy…as if you haven’t already.
