Build Your Own Transformer

Transformers are no longer limited to childrens toys, 80s cartoons, and explosion-laden Michael Bay films. Over the past few years transformers have invaded different sects of popular culture from computers to commercials to even architecture. With SFX software improving faster than Sly Stallone in a training montage it’s no wonder that transformers are more prevalent than ever.

Homemade Apple

I’ve always considered my computer to be a device that could transport me to anywhere I want to go, but this just takes that way too literally. The sad thing about this video is that all the user would have had to do to prevent his computer from escaping is to press Control + Command + ESC but alas, no such precautions were taken.

Mac vs PC

The rivalry between Mac and PC finds avatars to fight for each respective cause. The sad truth is that this battle is rendered moot because everyone knows the future of computing is tablets anyway.

Real Transformers

Never underestimate a nerd’s dedication to his obsession. These have got to be most kick-ass Halloween costumes ever, sadly they will probably only be used for cosplay and anime conventions.

The Real Deal

This is what happens when those very same nerds from the previous video buckle down and get serious. Sure the transformation could be smoother, but this is a real life Transformer! Here’s a question: If you could own a “robot in disguise” transformer what would you want its non-robot form to be? I would definitely want a toaster, so that I could live out my Brave Little Toaster dream and go journeying with a toaster with a heart of gold.

Transformer Apartment

300sq ft, yet the apartment has me embarrassed by my own 900sq ft apartment. The only question I have about the living space is how anyone gets any privacy in the bathroom? Or how about olfactory issues with particularly pungent bowel movements. Taco Bell is clearly outlawed in his home.

Commercial

Just when you think that all they are selling at the junkyard are the remnants of formerly, and still, crappy cars, they go and show you something like this and completely redeem themselves.

Bayless Transformers

I was so impressed with this video that I wrote an article about it immediately upon its release. It may have a distinct Pokemon vibe but the video also looks like it could have come right from Transformers 3; without all of the shirtless dudes of course!
