Doug Liman Blog: Sailing In Cannes Photos, Part 4
While in Cannes, I rented a sail boat (small compared with the other giant yachts we saw) with part of my team from Fair Game, including Producer Avram Ludwig and his girlfriend. For the most part I stayed at a hotel (making it much easier for me to do business) but I did get to do a fair amount of sailing and lived on the boat for much of the trip.

This is our “tender” for my boat. I used to call it a dingy until I started hobnobbing with the yacht set in Cannes. I’m swimming with Avram and First AD, Kim Winther.
In this photo, we’re on our way to crash Naomi Campbell’s birthday party at the Hotel Du Cap in our “tender.” Our arrival was anything but impressive.

So great to meet you at Covert Affairs FYC EMMY screening @ ATAS last night. Best of luck for the Emmy! Ever since I heard Simon’s stories of your directorial genius in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, I have been in awe. Glad to find your blog and learn that you are also a sailor. My dad was involved with the Coast Guard and we have sailed many voyages along the Hudson on his Swan ’46, and a few Newport – Bermuda races, as well. Happy Sailing!
