Allan Loeb has been hard at work rewriting the script for the new remake of Escape From New York, a movie that we aren’t entirely sure anyone wants to see. Supposedly, he was having a hard time depicting Manhattan as a destroyed maximum security prison. The compromise? Manhattan is no longer destroyed or a prison. It is simply a isolated penal colony. Basically the idea is build a wall around Manhattan and drop dangerous criminals inside. [Vulture]
