Four New DLC Packs Unveiled Today
A surprising amount of news today was centered around games getting new DLC packs either now or sometime in the near future. We aren’t sure who made today DLC day, but we aren’t complaining. Here are some of the new things you can download within the next few months.
Portal 2 DLC Coming in a Few Months
Portal 2 is only a few weeks old but Valve isn’t about to drop their support for it any time soon. If you already finished Portal 2, which pretty much everyone has considering it was just a nine hour game, not to worry, more stages are coming. Valve has announced that Portal 2 DLC will be coming sometime this summer. We hope to see more updates to the single-player, more multiplayer levels, and of course, more tiny hats!
Dragon Age II Releases DLC Today
Dragon Age II released three new pieces of DLC today in the form of weapons, armor, and follower items. The packs cost 400 Microsoft points all together or 240 points individually. So yeah, if you are looking to get more than one you might as well get all three. They will also cost five dollars as a pack and three dollars individually on the PSN, if the PSN ever comes back up.
Civ 5 DLC Comes Out Next Week
The next two installments of Civilization 5 DLC where unveiled today, and they will be available to be downloaded as soon as next Tuesday! The packs are titled The Civilization and Scenario Pack: Denmark – The Vikings and The Explorers Map Pack. The Denmark pack brings you the Denmark civilization to play and a new scenario that forces you to conquer the world by force. The Explorers pack, on the other hand, gives you ten new single-player maps, five of which are modeled after real world locations, and five of which are procedurally generated maps centered around a theme. The packs are available for five dollars each or seven dollars and fifty cents for both. You might as well just pick up both.
Magicka Gets Two New Challenge Maps
Steam based four player action game Magicka has now updated with two new challenge maps, voted on by the community. Caverns, the first new map, is free, and you’ll get it the next time you fire up the game. Marshlands, the second map, will cost two dollars on the steam store.
