Ryan Reynolds in His Green Lantern Costume!
Green Lantern fans, we have a costume! Although we’ve known for over a year that Ryan Reynolds (who played Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine) would be portraying Hal Jordan on the silver screen, we still haven’t gotten to see him in action. While we still don’t have a trailer, now we at least know what the guy is going to look like. Entertainment Weekly has revealed their latest cover, and it’s a big picture of the ring-wearing super hero. So what does it tell us? Not much, really. We do know that Reynolds can glare intensely and that the logo is intact, but other than that this costume reveal is a little boring. The suit lacks the black of the original outfit and seems to have thin, Tron-esque veins of light on it, which looks kind of bizarre. Entertainment Weekly promises more news on the film, but you’ll have to purchase the magazine to get the full scoop (gee, I wonder if they did that on purpose…). Green Lantern will arrive in theaters in his new costume on June 17, 2011.
