So, a while back we posted a hilarious video of a man in a wheelchair being hit by a police car, and regardless of how hilarious it was (did we mention it was really, really hilarious) eventually we started being wracked with pangs of guilt for poking fun at the whole thing. I mean this was someone who was crippled being hit by an officer of the law. It was sad actually. We felt that we needed to make up for our tasteless (but still hilarious … did we mention that?) video with a tribute to how awesome people in wheelchairs can be. These guys are more than handi-capable, they are downright hardcore!

Olympic Wheelchair Racing

Anyone with the chops to be in any Olympic event is impressive. These wheelchairs go fast enough to tank anyone on their ass, and that is demonstrated quite well in this video. Three racers get into a massive pile up as one takes a corner too hard and flips out. The resulting carnage leaves only a few racers left to make a mad dash for the finish line.

Rocket Wheelchair

Step 1, get a thing. Step 2, strap rockets to it. Step 3, videotape. Step 4, get featured on our website. These are four easy steps to becoming an internet super star, and this time they followed these steps with a wheelchair. This was obviously a jackass type stunt that was never meant to succeed, but it was still amusing to watch. I’d love to see how much thrust it would take to actually get him across the lake.

Wheelchair Dancing

Regardless of the fact that this guy is in a wheelchair, he is a way better dancer than I will ever be. In fact he was a way better dancer than other people at the competition who weren’t in wheelchairs.

Hardcore Sitting

This kid is the world’s first extreme sports wheelchair enthusiast. He dubs the sport “hardcore sitting” and he can perform tricks right along with all of the other bikers and skaters out there. These are some of his more known stunt videos.

For the story behind the above video, check this one out. Personally I would like to see a wheel chair designed specifically for him so he could get massive air.

And of course, what would any of our stunt articles be without a showcase of dumb people. Please, don’t try this at home. Getting towed by a car in your wheelchair might look like fun, but it could very will kill you, and make us die of laughter.
