The Hurt Locker was a great movie, it really was, but it didn’t have a whole lot of room for a sequel. Not to worry, director Kathryn Bigelow is making a spiritual sequel called Held by the Taliban. The film will be based on a series of New York Times articles by David Rohde. It will tell the tale of his kidnapping and imprisonment for seven months and ten days and will attempt to show the war in the Middle East in a new light. If the Hurt Locker is any indication, Bigelow will be more than able to pull this off. [Production Weekly]
