Everyone has a normal routine when they are browsing Youtube, or one of the many other Internet video sites out there. Crashes, Accidents, Cars, Trucks, Stunts. All of these are common search terms that come up on your daily video search. However, sometimes completely randomly, you find a wealth of injuries and crashes that you would have never thought of searching for before. Luckily we just so happened to find such a treasure trove today — an untapped source of action and idiocy! We bring to you the wild world of kite surfing crashes. Specific, obscure, and in the end just as amusing to watch as any other crash out there on the internet.

I guess there are a lot of things that can go wrong when you are kite surfing. I mean after all, you are essentially purposefully going out on rough waters on a windy day so that a giant parachute can tug you along with the wind. People who do kite surfing tricks stay in the air for ages, so you can tell how much lift these people are getting when the wind catches their kite just the right way. Of course, this means speed, and speed means crashes, and crashes mean injury, and injury is just great to watch on an internet video.

Good Days Gone Bad

Wind is a powerful thing, you see. Some states use wind to power their homes. Some farms use wind to power their mills. These guys use wind to hurt themselves, and it’s impressively effective. Right in the beginning of this video you see a surfer take off into the air and it takes a while for him to come back down. That doesn’t seem to stop the rest of the kite surfers in the area though. Perhaps the most entertaining kite surfing crashes are those that are uncontrolled takeoffs. You wonder why these surfers don’t think to just let go of the handle when the kite yanks up that hard.

Be Careful of Low Flying Planes

You know I’ll say it just one more time, I don’t understand why these kite surfers don’t think to let go of the handle when a powerful force tugs on the kite. This video is more likely than not movie magic but considering that we have seen plenty of other examples of people getting vaulted into the air under the power of wind and wind alone, I don’t think it is too far fetched.
