Mel Gibson seems more than willing to take up a cameo role in the new Mad Max movie Fury Road. Will he be in it? Nope. Turns out that George Miller simply isn’t interested in having him. Why? Well, he says he is simply too old, and more to the point he was far too hold five years ago, and he hasn’t exactly aged backward. If Gibson wasn’t going to be starring, Miller was shaky about involving him in any capacity whatsoever. Gibson is OK with this, and wishes Miller the best of luck saying that it is his franchise now. Still, even though there are many movies that we, as fans, don’t want to see Mel Gibson in, Mad Max is one of the rare exceptions to that rule. It would have been nice if Miller found some room for a cameo, just to make fans happy. [Dark Horizons]
