First 15 Minutes of Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones is set to premiere in about two weeks on April 17. But when have dates ever stopped you from watching what you wanted to watch. Take control over your HBO and Gregorian destiny by watching the first 15 minutes of Game of Thrones (The Sopranos with magic and swords!) now.

Green Lantern Wondercon

WonderCon, the San Francisco based comic convention went down this past weekend. The star of the weekend was undoubtedly the extended Green Lantern preview that almost plays out like a short film. Watch the edited version of the video and tell me that you don’t get chills when Hal takes the Lantern oath while his eyes gradually change color. Inspirational!

The Immortals WonderCon

It’s scary to think that Tarsem Singh has only made two movies so far. The Cell, The Fall are two visually stunning films that just don’t get enough love. The Fall in particular has an aesthetic that I am still drooling over. It’s like Singh took the film Baraka and gave it a plot. We got some serious details from WonderCon this weekend about Singh’s latest film, The Immortals, including a full synopsis. The sad thing is that audiences will probably view The Immortals as the training ground for his upcoming Clark Kent rather than as a stand alone feature.

As a power-mad king razes ancient Greece in search of a legendary weapon, a heroic young villager rises up against him in a thrilling quest as timeless as it is powerful.

The brutal and bloodthirsty King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his murderous Heraklion army are rampaging across Greece in search of the long lost Bow of Epirus. With the invincible Bow, the king will be able to overthrow the Gods of Olympus and become the undisputed master of his world. With ruthless efficiency, Hyperion and his legions destroy everything in their wake, and it seems nothing will stop the evil king’s mission.

As village after village is obliterated, a stonemason named Theseus (Henry Cavill) vows to avenge the death of his mother in one of Hyperion’s raids. When Theseus meets the Sybelline Oracle, Phaedra (Freida Pinto), her disturbing visions of the young man’s future convince her that he is the key to stopping the destruction. With her help, Theseus assembles a small band of followers and embraces his destiny in a final desperate battle for the future of humanity.
