Ninja Assassin – Trixter VFX Bladed Chain Weapons Breakdown
Loads of different people worked on the visual effects for the martial arts masterpiece Ninja Assassin and it was Trixter, was responsible for rendering many of the cooler-than-real-life bladed chain weapons that we saw in the movie. vfxblog, a totally awesome visual effects blog run by Aussie Ian Failes, pointed us toward this video that shows us each of the VFX that Trixter was responsible for, one by one. The fact that they can render individual weapons in a martial arts showdown at this speed is just awesome. Pretty soon, actors won’t even have to wear clothes in key scenes. That can all be handled with VFX too! Rain is shirtless during most of this movie, so he is well on the way!
