So, it turns out that Oren Peli won’t be returning to direct Paranormal Activity 2. Instead, the studio decided to turn the film over to Kevin Greutert who is well known for his directorial work on Saw VI. More interestingly, Paranormal Activity 2 is going to release on October 22nd, around the same time as the Saw VII scheduled released date. We have to wonder what it is like for Greutert to be fighting against himself for the box office. Seems an awful lot like one of Jigsaw’s traps to us. [THR]
