Piper Perabo is joining the cast of the USA pilot Covert Affairs, according to David Bartis, an Executive Producer on the action-comedy. You might remember Piper’s midriff from Coyote Ugly — we sure do — but she’s also recently been in The Lazarus Project with Paul Walker. In Covert Affairs, she will play the lead role of Annie Walker, a linguist and CIA trainee. It is not yet clear how much screen time her midriff will receive, but we have high hopes.

Covert Affairs is from Universal Cable Studios. Bartis (Knight Rider) and Doug Liman (Knight Rider, The Bourne trilogy) are Executive Producers through their company, Dutch Oven. The pilot is written and co-executive produced by Matt Corman and Chris Ord (Deck the Halls).
