Remember the iconic 1976 pic Shaolin Temple? Well no one would fault you if you didn’t. It is pretty obscure, but trust us it is awesome. It is specifically awesome enough to warrant a remake by New Police Story‘s Benny Chan and The Transporter‘s Cory Yuen. It will star Jackie Chan, Andy Lau, Nicholas Tse, Fan BinbBing, Wu Jing, and Yu Shaoqun, all Chinese martial arts stars, and it will be filmed inside the actual Shaolin temple in China’s Henan province. The movie will also feature disciples from the temple itself on screen. Shooting will start at the end of the year, and the movie is planned to release late next year. With all this martial arts talent in one place, I assure you, you will be able to hear the flying kicks from here. [Variety]
