There is no word yet on exactly how truthful this rumor may be, but Joseph Gordon-Levitt has apparently been put on the short list of actors to play the Riddler in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming Batman 3. Is there a script yet? No. Has Riddler been confirmed as one of the villains in the film? Nope. Does Joseph Gordon-Levitt look so freakishly similar to Heath Ledger that we could really only see him as the recast version of the Joker? I think we finally have our first confirmation.

Who knows if this one will actually pan out, but the word is that Nolan and Gordon-Levitt got along well on the set of Nolan’s latest film Inception, and that there were constant on-set jokes about Joseph being cast in the upcoming Batman film. Personally, I think JGL is a fine choice for the question marked one. Johnny Depp would also be a pretty cool choice but we can’t get everything we want can we?
