Unfortunately RDJ won’t be teaming up with Jon Favreau for Cowboys & Aliens. Downey needed to drop the project because of scheduling conflicts. Thankfully Favreau is not in the same boat. Production is set to start sometime this year, and a tentative release has been scheduled for the summer of 2011. We have to wonder, what in the world could have conflicted with a sci-fi western? Taking down aliens with a six shooter sounds like the best use of your time. [L. A. Times]
