Robot + X = Win!
RoBatman
I stumbled upon this blog today and my brain nearly exploded from a nerd coolness explosion aneurysm. It may only be a proof of concept, but mark my words, we will be seeing Robatman / Cybord Batman comic in the near future. Robatman is like Batman but without all of that pansy emotion. He has two settings: Sleep and Murder. He also has two ratings: Rad and Danger. Make sure to look at all of the detail of this magnificent picture to get a complete idea of just how much cooler Robatman is than any other cartoon.
RoboGeisha
Who would ever suspect an innocent little geisha of being a robotic killing nightmare with resolve and blades of of icy steel. RoboGeisha is finally available on DVD and you would be doing yourself a huge disservice if you neglected this campy masterpiece. Director Noboru Iguchi’s IMDB page reads like wikipedia page of the popular Japanese gore films of the past ten years.
RoboSuperman
Superman has been roboted before but perhaps never more dramatically than in The Adventures of Superman #439. The drama, the intrigue, the sheer ridiculousness of this comic. There’s really only so much that you can do with a character who is invulnerable and roboting (rebooting, robooting, reboting?) him is one of the most exciting.
Robot Unicorn Attack
This plays out like one grand and epic math equation. Take something that is innately masculine, a horse, and add something that is masculine in its phallic form, a horn, and you get something that is undeniably feminine, a unicorn. Take the unicorn and make it robot and it transcends labels like masculine and feminine and becomes a kick-ass entity of its own, and also one fun as hell video game.
Robot Ninja
The biggest problem with 1989′s Robot Ninja is that there really aren’t any robots or ninjas or robot ninjas in the entire movie, rendering the impossibly cool title completely moot.
