Sure, the tagline for the new Scream film is a bit cheesy, “New Decade. New Rules.” Fine, it’s cheesier than the 7/11 do it yourself nachos, but that doesn’t mean that the new film won’t be good.

Back in the mid 90′s Scream marked the return of the horror film and Drew Barrymore to the mainstream. The film hasn’t aged particularly well, especially with all of the venereal horror that has been coming out recently, but for what it was, Scream scared the pants off of a twelve-year-old version of myself.

Released today is the newest teaser poster for the fourth installment of the series. I can’t help but think that this will be retooled in later versions to feature the younger actors who are sure to take over the Scream realm dominated by Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox. Ashley Greene (Twilight), Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), and Rory Culkin (Signs) are all rumored to be attached to the project but nothing has been confirmed yet. As long as Hayden sticks to her type-casting and plays a cheerleader we will be fine with it. We will bring you more news on Scream 4 as it becomes available.
