Shatner May Be in Star Trek 2

Remember when there was the big rumor that William Shatner was going to be in the original Star Trek reboot? Yeah, that was awesome. Then it turned out to be false, but we got Leonard Nimoy which is arguably more awesome! Now, eyes are on Shatner again for Star Trek 2. You see, the problem is, Captain Kirk died in one of the older Star Trek movies, and Abrams wanted to adhere to Star Trek canon while simultaneously re-writing it. However, Abrams has recently said that he has been having meetings with Shatner, and has been trying to brainstorm a way to get old Captain Kirk back into the plot. Perhaps clones? We shall see.
