Temperature Rises on Farenheit: 451
Frank Darabont (The Notebook), knows how to tug on your heartstrings, so who better to pen a story about a world that oppresses people through knowledge control? Wait what?!? Well regardless, Darabont is trying very hard to sell his adaptation of Farenheit: 451 but has been unlucky thus far. According to him “Hollywood doesn’t trust smart material.” In fact in a recent interview he details a rejection in which his script was complimented as being the “smartest thing ever read” and yet it didn’t sell, because it wouldn’t get 13 year-olds into the theater. Screw Farenheit: 451, stupidity is our knowledge control. [Shock Till You Drop]
