Mortal Kombat DLC Coming This Week

Excited to get a chance to play with Skarlet and Kenshi, the latest Mortal Kombat Kharacters with a K? Well, all that delightful partially-on-disc DLC content can be yours, tomorrow! Joining the club, are seventeen on disc DLC character skins. Personally, I can’t wait to play with classic Reptile! I always liked him better as a ninja and not, you know, a reptile.

Mortal Kombat Bans Potty Talk

So, Mortal Kombat is OK with extreme violence and gore but not with trash talk apparently. Recently, hackers probed the data on the MK disc, and found a list of words that aren’t allowed in MK text chat, in multiple languages no less! Just because we find this absolutely hilarious, here are some of the weirder items on the list … one for each letter of the alphabet: Alabama porch monkey, blewinski, crack spackler, dingleberry, eat my shorts, flip, genocide, herpes, incest, jungle, kill, lsd, marijuana, nazi, one way pipe cleaner, pimp, (nothing for Q), redneck, satanic, trailer trash, uplay wid dix, white trash, and nothing for Y and Z. Yeah, it’s thorough. Words right down to the word “bite” have been censored, making it hard to tell your buddy you are putting the game on pause to grab some bagel bites.

Too Human Will Be Finished

Silicon Knights, the guys behind Too Human, say that they will indeed finish the trilogy even though the games have come out to less than stellar reception. Too Human hasn’t sold very well, and its development times are off the charts, but Silicon Knights wants to stick with it. Come on guys, can’t you just give up and make Eternal Darkness 2 instead?

Ubisoft Joins the Movie Buisiness

Game publisher Ubisoft has recently established a new division called Ubisoft Motion Pictures. This new division will be specifically tasked with adapting the company’s video game properties into major motion pictures and TV shows. After last year’s Prince of Persia movie, I suppose they figure there is big money in the movie business. As long as they don’t hire Uwe Boll.

Black Ops Escalation Pack Out Now

Today, the new Black Ops Escalation map pack drops. The pack will include four new maps, and a new campaign for the zombie mode. I’d pick it up just so you can play as Danny Trejo.
