Three Studios Want Kick-Ass

When Kick-Ass premiered its first footage at Comic Con, Matthew Vaughn said that this might be where the journey ended. The film went to Comic Con without a distributor, and we can see why. On paper Kick-Ass seems like a risky deal, but on the screen it seems to be a hilarious blockbuster hit. The Kick-Ass team hoped that word of mouth would spread their project far enough to make studios take interest in them, and it worked! Paramount, Lionsgate and Universal are all looking to pick up Kick-Ass … especially considering it is pretty much done! We can’t wait to see this movie about kids who just randomly decide to become superheros hit the big screen… mostly because we want to see that scene with Nicolas Cage shooting a little girl in the chest again.
