Thundercats Trailer

The hot Thundercats news these days is that the original cartoon is getting a more anime-style reboot for television, but let’s rewind to 2007. Jerry O’Flaherty, art director of Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3 was to direct a CGI Thundercats movie and some of the footage got leaked. This may be proof that a CGI Thundercats movie just wouldn’t work. The CGI looks very dated, but who’s to say if this project was resurrected it wouldn’t get some updated visuals. Let’s just hope that the television series is a little bit more mature.

Criterion on Hulu

Criterion Collection fans may have to reconsider where they are going to get their foreign and independent film fix. Criterion is scheduled to make and exclusive switch from the omnipresent Netflix to Hulu Plus. Is this the beginning of the end for Netflix? We doubt it. But if Hulu Plus is trying to brand itself as the source for film school films then they have made a promising first step.

American Cyborg: Steel Warrior

What would happen if Demolition Man and Terminator were combined into a B Movie of epic proportions. American Cyborg: Steel Warrior is shlock filming at its most magnificent. Watch this trailer and yearn for the days of superfluous action and acting that played second fiddle to bad SFX and androids who look like Rutger Hauer.
