Now playing: Comic-Con Trailer: Tron Legacy
The lastest Tron Legacy trailer to come out was revealed this past week at Comic-Con, and it pretty much blew me away. Sure, the graphics look great, like an updated version of the orginal black and white overlay with cheesy 1980′s computer graphics, and yes it is super cool to see Jeff Bridges in his CGI’d younger self (a side note: The age reverse technology that they used in this film along with X-Men 2 looks straight up better than when they try to make someone look older. It’s not perfect but it has enabled movies like this and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to do things that were not possible ten years ago). No, what I am really geeking out about was the scene in the last five seconds of this trailer. Now would be the time to go back and watch it again if you foolishly abandoned the trailer before it ended. The last scene looks like took the Michael Bay technology from Transformers and applied it to the Tron mold. It looks gorgeous! Now I just have to wait until December to actually slake the thirst created by this trailer.
